An arrest warrant was issued Monday for a Charleston teen accused in a weekend shooting death on the city's West Side.

Charleston police are looking for 18-year-old Darius Coles in connection to the Friday morning shooting on Ohio Avenue that left one man dead, Sgt. James Hunt, Charleston's assistant chief of detectives, said in a press release.

Dominic Clark, 24, was found shot several times in the back and chest at 507 1/2 Ohio Ave. early Friday. A separate shooting in the same location a week ago left a man injured. The victim in that instance gave a "vague" description of his attacker and wasn't cooperative with investigators, Lt. Steve Cooper, chief of detectives, said last week.

Investigators didn't know if the two victims knew each other.

Clark's body was found in a yard. Cooper said Clark was shot from close range.

The arrest warrant charges Coles with first degree murder. Coles should be considered armed and dangerous, Hunt wrote.

Anyone with information on his location can call 911.
