The second "Blessing of the Pets" will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. April 10 at Ruffner Memorial Park, 1580 Kanawha Blvd. E. Officiating the blessings will be Rabbi Victor Urecki and Rabbi James Cohn.
The Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association will participate in the event, along with Animal Behaviorist, Julie Hypes and Adoption Specialist, Lauren Meeks. KCHA will assist with pet adoptions and those interested should bring a leash or carrier. A police officer and K-9 of the Charleston K-9 Unit will be on hand. The Elite Eagles Club will have a student charity fundraiser.
Bring your pet or pets, photo or photos or a list of the pets' names - those living, ill, or deceased. Leashes and/or carriers are required. Bring "clean up after pet" supplies. Plastic bags will also be available at the park.
