A fire that displaced 11 residents Wednesday night has rekindled, a Metro 911 dispatcher said.
Smoke was reportedly coming from Vandalia Terrace Apartments at 1507 Dorchester Road in Charleston shortly before 9 a.m. Friday.
The dispatcher said smoke was coming from the attic of the building, near the six units that were lost to fire earlier this week. On Wednesday, one apartment was destroyed by the blaze, one was damaged by fire and four were damaged by smoke and water, Charleston fire Capt. Tim Griffith said.
The dispatcher said both Charleston and South Charleston fire departments were on the scene Friday.
