Drivers should expect delays near the on- and off-ramps of Interstate 64 at MacCorkle Avenue in South Charleston.
Because of vehicle crashes on the Interstate near the Dunbar-South Charleston Bridge, the state Division of Highways will be putting closures in place to clear the on and off ramps.
As soon as crashed vehicles are cleared, crews will be closing the eastbound I-64 on-ramp from MacCorkle Avenue. Crews will load snow and haul it away, said Carrie Bly, spokeswoman for the Department of Transportation. After that area is cleared, the eastbound I-64 off ramp to MacCorkle Avenue will be closed so crews can clear snow.
The process is expected to take a few hours. Drivers should expect delays.
