FestivALL Schedule of Events: June 22, 2017

All-day: East End Garden Showcase, Charleston East End, from Leon Sullivan Way to Greenbrier Street. Tour brochures are available at area businesses or along the way in "info tubes."

All-day: Driven By Design. Keep an eye out for the FestivALL art cab among the C&H Taxi fleet. For rides, call C&H at 304-344-4902.

All-day: FestivALL Street Performers and Artists and Public Art. FestivALL Princess (Jude Binder), magician Dewayne Hill, O'Ryan the O'mazing, visual artists, public art projects including the FestivALL Catfish, community flash mobs, JADCO's random acts of dance and more.

9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: Art-for-ALL Juried Student Art Exhibition. Free, Ticketing Lobby, Clay Center, 1 Clay Square.

10 a.m. to 9 p.m.: Dizzy Doc's Amazing Balloon Sculpture. Center Court, Charleston Town Center. Aaron "Dizzy Doc" Hay will construct a massive, unique and delicate balloon sculpture.

11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Master Class with artists from Paul Taylor Dance Company and Taylor 2. Charleston Ballet studio, 100 Capitol St., on the Mezzanine floor. Ruth Andrien, former dancer with Paul Taylor Dance Company, will present this master class along with other members from Taylor 2. Class is appropriate for intermediate and advanced dancers, high school age and up, with a background in ballet, modern or contemporary. Tickets are $15. Space is limited. Noon, 2, 4 and 6 p.m.: River Queen Cruises. Haddad Riverfront Park. BB Riverboat's River Queen returns with 1 ½ hour sightseeing cruises on the Kanawha River. Cruise tickets are $20 for adults, $19 for seniors, $12 for children 4-12 and children under 3 are free. 5 to 8 p.m.: Downtown ArtWalk. Downtown Charleston. Stroll the beautiful streets of downtown Charleston and visit the unique business that feature area artists showcasing their diverse talents. Performers include Peddlers Glory, Corey Shields and Wood and Wine. Musical Easels will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Lee Street Triangle. Visit www.artwalkcwv.com for information.

6 to 7:30 p.m.: "Memories of the Valley" presentation by Eric Douglas. Archives and History Library in the Culture Center, State Capitol Complex. Archives and History Library featured speaker Eric Douglas will play his ongoing audio-documentary, "Memories in the Valley, now updated with excerpts from interviews recorded at the Archives and History Library as part of FestivALL 2015, 2016 and FestivALL Fall 2016. 6 to 9:45 p.m.: West Virginia International Film Festival presents Oscar-Nominated Animated and Live Action Shorts. Underground Cinema at Taylor Books, 226 Capitol St. First 50 minutes of animated shorts is family-oriented programming, with an on-screen warning for those with children for the final 35-minute film that is not. Live action shorts begin at approximately 7:30 p.m.

7 p.m.: The Mayor's Concert featuring Robert Randolph & the Family Band and New Breed Brass Band. Maier Performance Hall, Clay Center, 1 Clay Square. Enjoy a fusion of rock, funk, soul, jazz and jam band influences. Tickets: Reserved, $25, $35 and $45 available at Clay Center box office (304-561-3570) and theclaycenter.org (online sales fees apply).

8 p.m.: Contemporary Youth Arts Company presents "American Nero." WVSU Capitol Center Theater, 123 Summers Street. Tickets, $15 for adults, $8 for students/seniors. Available at WVSU Box office, call 304-342-6522.
