The Charleston Police Department and the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration, will be participating in the National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday. This is a chance for the public to turn in unused or expired prescription medication. The public can turn in items between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the following locations:

n Drug Emporium, 1603 Kanawha Blvd. West
n Dollar General, 1555 Washington St. E.
n Piggly Wiggly, 5003 MacCorkle Ave. S.E.
n Rite Aid, 1015 Bridge Road
n Quincy Detachment, (Now located in the Quincy Shopping Center, beside Gino's Pizza), 2700 E. Dupont Ave., Belle
n Cross Lanes Detachment, 903 Cross Lanes Drive
n Elkview Detachment, 902 Main St., Elkview
n St. Albans Detachment, 6809 Ohio Ave., St. Albans
n Sissonville Detachment, 6438 Sissonville Dr., Sissonville
The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office maintains a drug drop-box at its headquarters which is available to the public during business hours.
