The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the man killed and the name of the suspect in the shooting at Drexel Place in Cross Lanes on Monday.
The victim was Christopher Moses Butler, 26, of Detroit, according to Sgt. Brian Humphreys of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office. Detectives have obtained a warrant charging Dajuan Jackson, 24, also of Detroit, with murder.
Humphreys said detectives have leads and are working with other agencies on the case.
Jackson is about 5 foot 6 inches tall, weighs 148 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Butler was shot and killed at about 12:30 a.m. Monday. Police have said he was shot in Building 7 and that Butler and Jackson knew each other. They say Jackson fled immediately.
Several other people, including a toddler, were inside the apartment. Humphreys said Butler was not the father of the toddler.
Police have not released a motive.
