A few Kanawha County school buses will be rerouted this afternoon as a result of President Obama's visit to the East End of Charleston today, while others could be delayed.
According to an automated message, Bus 1208 from Piedmont Elementary will not travel on Jackson, Beauregard, or Sidney streets later today. Instead, students will be dropped off at the Washington Street East intersections with Beauregard, Thompson, Ruffner, Nancy and Maxwell streets.
Bus 1206 from Stonewall Jackson Middle School will stop at Virginia Street and Ruffner Avenue on the city's East End instead of its usual location, Washington and Ruffner.
These and other buses also could be delayed as a result of street closures associated with the afternoon event.
