Two wrecks clogged traffic on Interstate 64 Friday around noon.
A tractor-trailer jack-knifed and went over an embankment in the area of mile marker 53, near the Dunbar exit, at about 11:30 a.m., according to a Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatcher. Crews were still cleaning up diesel fuel and the wreckage shortly after 1 p.m. The slow and middle lanes were shut down following the wreck.
A car wrecked around mile marker 45, in the the area of the Nitro exit, at about 12:15 p.m. The interstate was shut down for a few minutes, according to the dispatcher.
No one was taken to the hospital in either wreck.
