Charleston police are investigating after a body was found in the Kanawha River in Kanawha City Thursday evening.
Kanawha Metro 911 dispatchers said they began receiving calls about a body in the river at about 6:37 p.m.
The body of a man was found in the water behind Lowe's home improvement store, located on MacCorkle Avenue.
Lt. Steve Cooper, Charleston's chief of detectives, said foul play was not suspected.
