In response to overcrowding on buses picking up Elkview Middle and Clendenin Elementary students from the Clendenin area, where schools were impacted by the late June flooding, the Kanawha County school system announced in a news release Thursday that it's adding a bus to morning routes in the area.
Bus drivers should have handed out notices of the change to students as they got off buses Thursday afternoon. The new bus, No. 1107, should have began operating this morning.
Its pick-up locations will be:
n Spencer Road and Doctors Creek 6:45 a.m.
n Spencer Road and Portland Road 6:47 a.m.
n Spencer Road and Big Sandy Avenue 6:48 a.m.
n 1700 Spencer Road 6:50 a.m.
n Spencer Road and Cromwell Estates 6:53 a.m.
n 1507 Spencer Road 6:54 a.m.
n Spencer Road and Highland Drive 6:56 a.m.
n Spencer Road and Canadian Drive 6:57 a.m.
n 8317 Elk River Road (Family Dollar) 7:05 a.m.
n Twin Oaks Drive and Elk River Road 7:07 a.m.
n Kelly Hill and Elk River Road 7:09 a.m.
