CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The public will be able to see an artifact from the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the Pentagon after it is unveiled this week at the Charleston airport.
The Transportation Security Administration at Yeager Airport was awarded a piece of limestone from the Pentagon by the U.S. Defense Department.
The TSA has chosen to display the material in the newly created Yeager Airport observation area so the public can see it.
The piece is being unveiled on Tuesday and will be transported to its new location.
The TSA was created after the 9/11 attacks to strengthen security of transportation systems.
