Clendenin Street and portions of Capitol Street in downtown Charleston will be closed to accommodate construction activity in coming days, according to information posted on the city's website.
Clendenin Street, which closed early Friday, is scheduled to reopen to traffic Sunday afternoon.
Capitol Street will be closed to through traffic from Virginia Street to Quarrier street starting Monday and ending Friday, and from Kanawha Boulevard to Virginia Street from April 4 through April 15. There will be no parking on Virginia Street from Summers Street to Capitol Street for the duration of the construction, which involves the replacement of the Capitol/Virginia Street intersection.
Kanawha Boulevard will be closed in the vicinity of Magic Island from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday to accommodate the annual Easter egg hunt.
