West Virginia Supreme Court justices issued an order last month to suspend the law license of Charleston attorney D. Adrian Hoosier II, according to a news release from the Office of Lawyer Disciplinary Counsel.

The order to suspend Hoosier's license was issued on Aug. 30, and he's prevented from practicing law for three months as part of a disciplinary matter, Andrea J. Hinerman, senior lawyer for the counsel, said in the news release.

The reason for Hoosier's suspension was not stated in the news release. Calls to Hoosier's law office as well as the Office of Lawyer Disciplinary Counsel weren't returned Tuesday.

Hoosier is a partner in Lord Hoosier, PLLC, in Charleston, practicing in personal injury, employment law and family law, according to the firm's website.

Hoosier also was ordered to complete six hours of continuing legal education focusing on ethics and law office management, and he must notify all of his existing clients of the suspension, according to the release. He also is prohibited from accepting new clients during the suspension, per Lawyer Disciplinary Procedure Rules.
