Charleston police are looking for the man who robbed a BB&T bank branch in Kanawha City with a gun, according to Kanawha County Metro 911.
The robbery was reported just before 3 p.m. Tuesday at the bank, located at 3800 MacCorkle Ave. S.E.
Lt. Tony Hazelett, chief of detectives, said a man entered the bank, showed tellers a handgun, and ordered them to hand over cash. He was in the bank for about two minutes.
He then fled on foot, going east on MacCorkle Avenue.
Hazelett described the suspect as a black man wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, carrying a black backpack. His face was covered during the robbery.
Officers were using dogs to search the area.
