Sharon Mullins, former art instructor at George Washington High School, is offering a four-week Learn to Draw class for adults from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 5-26 at Unity of Kanawha Valley. Level 1 or Level 2 instructions will be available. Cost is $60, due at the first class. Bring a drawing tablet 9-inch by 12-inch or larger, artist's drawing pencils, and kneaded eraser. The event, Surviving Katrina with Music and Song, commemorating the 12th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, will begin at 2 p.m. today at Davis Park in Charleston. The event will last about an hour.
