The inaugural WV Gaming Championship took over Macy's Court in the Charleston Town Center mall on Saturday, bringing together players and spectators from around the region for West Virginia's largest competitive gaming competition.
Tournaments were held for "NBA 2K17" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" on the PlayStation 4 and "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" on the Nintendo Switch.
The event was presented by the Charleston Gazette-Mail and sponsored by the Town Center mall, GameStop, the Charleston Civic Center, the West Virginia National Guard, Suddenlink, Everywhere Local LLC, Kanawha Communities That Care and Aaron's.
