A Charleston woman died Thursday night after her car rolled off the road, trapping her inside.
Sharry Lynn Cobb, 53, drove toward a right turn on Big Tyler Road, about half a mile from Cross Lanes Boarding Kennel, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office. She instead drove left and sent the car, a 2017 Toyota Camry, into a roll, the release states.
Cobb remained unresponsive in the car after it stopped over an embankment.
The Tyler Mountain Volunteer Fire Department removed Cobb from her car, and the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority tried to treat her at the scene, where she then died.
Investigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy in hopes of learning more about what may have caused the crash, according to the release.
