Join YWCA Charleston for their 2nd annual CHAIRity auction from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Romano & Associates, 230 Capital St., Suite 200, during FestivALL's ArtWalk. The event is free and includes food, drinks and entertainment. Attendees can bid on chairs painted or repurposed by local artists and purchase originals and prints from Still Maybe Studio - Artwork by Staci Leech-Cornell. Proceeds support YWCA Shanklin Center for Senior Enrichment, which provides permanent housing to female victims of elder abuse, who are also disabled.
Putnam County senior citizens are invited to attend Senior Prom, sponsored by the City of Hurricane, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the John Henson Senior Center, 2800 Putnam Ave., Hurricane.
