Many familiar faces will lead the city of Dunbar after residents voted Tuesday to re-elect the mayor and all but one city council member.

Terry Greenlee, the city's current Democratic mayor, beat out a write-in candidate by securing 92 percent of all the votes during the general election, according to unofficial results. He won 620 votes.

His challenger, former mayor Roger Wolfe, was the only official write-in candidate. There were 54 write-in votes cast, but not all those votes were for Wolfe.

"I'm very happy with the results," said Greenlee, who faced no Republican challengers. "I want to continue to do what we're doing for the city and bringing forth new businesses. We're making Dunbar a better place to live. If I didn't want to do that, I wouldn't have run."

Wolfe was removed from his position in 2008 and was found by the West Virginia Ethics Commission in 2011 to have violated the Ethics Act for receiving reimbursements without proper authority. Wolfe lost to Greenlee in the city's Democratic primary election in April.

"I know that I've got the support of the people of Dunbar," Greenlee said.

In each of the city's four wards, the two candidates who received the highest number of votes won a seat on the council.

Two Republicans will represent the city's 1st Ward - Mike Scipio, who won with 113 votes, and Steve Arnott, an incumbent who won with 101 votes. They beat out Democratic challengers Mike Buckalew, who received 80 votes, and Jimmy Rogers, who received 72 votes.

Gregory Hudson, a Republican, was re-elected to represent the 2nd Ward with 103 votes, and Democrat Harold Craigo was re-elected with 118 votes. The men beat out Virginia Nesselrotte, a Democrat who won 79 votes.

In the 3rd Ward, Connie Thompson, a Republican, was re-elected with 66 votes and Greg Wolfe, a newcomer and Democrat, was elected with 55 votes. They beat out Billy Huffman Jr. and April Gardner, who each won 33 and 32 votes, respectively.

Everette Sullivan, the only incumbent not re-elected by voters, lost his seat to represent the 4th Ward after winning only 89 votes. That wasn't enough to beat out Democrat Bill Cunningham, who won 141 votes, and James Hughes, a Republican newcomer who won 109 votes. Daniel Stapleton also lost, earning only 39 votes.

Connie Fulknier, the current City Clerk, was re-elected with 627 votes. She faced no challengers.
