A Charleston man pleaded guilty Thursday to distributing methamphetamine, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of West Virginia.
Shannon L. Mitchell, 36, admitted that on July 18 he sold, for $250, 3.38 grams of meth to a confidential informant working with the Metro Drug Unit. The deal took place near Mitchell's Maryland Avenue home.
He faces up to 20 years in federal prison when he is sentenced on Aug. 8.
