A man is in jail after he was accused of trying to set his brother on fire.
Charleston Police arrested Darrell Duncan, 55 of Charleston, at a home on Roane Street Sunday. The suspect's brother told police Duncan threatened him multiple times, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha Magistrate Court.
Police said in the complaint Duncan then threw gasoline on his brother and on his porch, and then threw a lit match in his direction.
The apartment building did catch fire, police say, but the Charleston Fire Department put out the flames.
Duncan is charged with first-degree arson and assault. He is being held at the South Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
