Charleston hosted its 73rd Veterans Day Parade on Wednesday, with special guests that included the Blue Crew of the Ohio Class ballistic missile submarine USS West Virginia and Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va. The parade and ceremony are organized by the John Brawley Post 20 of the American Legion. The first Charleston Veterans Day Parade took place in 1942, while World War II raged.
