An Elkview man was arraigned Wednesday in Kanawha County Magistrate Court on two charges of first-degree murder, after a woman he allegedly shot last week in Charleston died.

Bobby Gene Hall, 42, allegedly shot Timothy Jett, 55, and Audrey Short, 38, at Jett's Garrison Avenue home last week. Jett died at the scene, and authorities took Short to the hospital, where she died from her injuries Wednesday morning.

Hall signed and initialed papers in front of Magistrate Jack Pauley that outlined the charges he faces.

Another person, Misty Rucker of Sissonville, was also arrested. She was charged with murder and conspiracy, and will be arraigned soon, said assistant Kanawha prosecutor Maryclaire Akers. She said more charges are being investigated.

According to a news release, Hall and Rucker visited the victims at the Garrison Avenue home the evening of Feb. 7. Though it's unclear what relationship the group shared, all four were "known to law enforcement," Lt. Steve Cooper, the chief of detectives for Charleston Police, said previously.

Shortly after Hall and Rucker left the home, Rucker returned for an unknown reason to watch the door while Hall went back inside, according to the release. A witness told police she then heard two gunshots. The witness is said to have seen Hall's body jerk backward from the recoil of his second shot.

At Wednesday's arraignment, Hall remained expressionless with each signature, speaking only to ask Pauley if he could keep the pen after the magistrate asked if he had any questions.
